Half of the day is already gone... I am trying to make a pattern for my husband's quilt. I know I can't make it until Febr 14, but I want to make at least the top !
Do you remember the fabrics I want to use ?

I want to make kaleidoscopes from the striped fabric

I designed a few blocks and sketched the quilts, but I don't like any of them. Boring... ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------

Do you know a pattern that would be perfect for my kaleidoscope squares ?
This time I have to make a quilt that I like !

Hi, I see your dilemma. Beautiful fabrics and a pattern that isn't singing to you.

Have you considered adding long triangles to the sides of the caleidoscope blocks and tilting them, so they create spirals? I can't really picture it in my head, but I think it might work.

Good luck!

How about making the squares in different sizes, Geta? Also, to get the most out of the fabric when you cut it, some blocks will have the stripe colors going in the opposite direction. So, it really won't be so boring.

Maybe you need to add in a really dark color to make everything "pop".

I don't know of a pattern for your design but I do like the colors you have chosen. I also like the block on point, it is more interesting. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

have you considered cutting the blocks in half or in quarters, diagonally, and flipping them to give a spiderweb effect?
