Drawstring bags

For my sweet little nephew Alex. He turns 2 on Saturday.

The dot fabric is cotton twill. It is a wonderful fabric, its weight is something between quilt fabric and decorator fabric weight. That fabric is by MoMo and I think Moda prints some of their designs on twill.

As lining I used other pretty fabrics from my stash.

For this one I had two coordinated prints.
I fused interfacing to the front fabric, the bottom is boxed...it is fit for a big boy!

I think I made for the first time a drawstring bag and it is such a fun thing to do.
Now back to work on a new bag !

  3. What cute bags! Two is the age of curiosity, when my kids and grandkids were collecting things (rocks, pretty leaves, little toy cars)--and wanting a place to put things. These bags are PERFECT! So colorful and kid friendly.
