Playing with Hexagons

If I don't make quilts, I make bags. If I don't make bags, I make boxes -  my friend Teodora is right.
So here is my latest play session with hexagons.

fabric box
The fabrics used are " Vintage Modern"  by Bonnie and Camille for Moda
I started with this simple, tall hexagonal box.

Then I made a lid for it -  I like to keep things out of dust.

Simple to make -  just 7 hexagons.

Here it is - it looks like a little house -  I am in love with the cute shape.

Then I made a hexagonal "cone"! Very simple again - 6 elongate triangles.

And it could be the roof of a new little house!

For this one below, I started  with a hexagonal base.

How about this hexagonal roof, made out of 6 traingles ?

The other side.

I love this idea too.

This one is large-it could hold a lot of gifts!

This is something different -  but the starting point is a hexagon too.

And finally I made a 6-side bowl. Easy - 7 hexagons.

The back

It is reversible!
